Electric VW ID.3 GTI debuts in the UK
Volkswagen brings the legendary GTI moniker to a new electric sports car

326 PS sent to the rear axle
The ID.3 GTI uses a 240 kW, 326 PS, and 545 Nm electric motor, connected exclusively to the rear axle. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 5.6 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 200 km/h. Volkswagen also incorporates a model-specific Launch Control system.
A GTI designed around electric driving
The new GTI mode modifies the engine response, steering, and suspension to prioritize dynamic behavior. It also incorporates a synthesized engine sound, red interior lighting, and specific chassis elements. The exterior design recovers traditional elements of the GTI language, such as the red front stripe and the 20-inch wheels named Wörthersee.
Up to 601 kilometers of range
The ID.3 GTI uses the highest capacity battery available in the range, with 79 kWh of usable capacity, and Volkswagen announces a projected range of up to 601 kilometers. Fast charging can reach 183 kW. The start of pre-sales is scheduled for early 2027, while customer deliveries will begin during the first quarter of that year.
